    August 15, 2013

We are very excited to announce that our primary keynote speaker, Scott Friedman, has recently been honored with two very impressive speaker awards.  He received the RISE Award (Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence) from MPI (Meeting Professionals Interational) in Vegas in July and the Cavett Award from NSA (National Speakers Association) in Philladelphia in early August.

Meeting Professionals International - RISE Award

Exceptional Leaders Recognized for Influence in Building Community

Meeting Professionals International has announced Scott Friedman, CSP as a winner of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) 2013 Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence (RISE) Award. “This award honors those rare individuals who by visionary hard work and creative insight have positively changed the global meetings and events industry community (MPI).” Scott’s passion for the industry, global connectivity and philanthropy is evident through his innovative contributions and achievements.

National Speaker's Association - The Cavett Award

The Cavett Award is National Speakers Association's most cherished award. It is presented annually to the member whose accomplishments over the years have reflected outstanding service, respect, honor and admiration in the Association and the speaking profession.

NSA is proud to recognize the men and women who have made a difference in the lives of their audiences and other professional speakers. NSA's Co-Founder Cavett Robert, CSP, CPAE, was known to say, "It’s amazing how much people can do when they divorce themselves from concern over who gets the credit."

From guiding and inspiring other members to defining excellence on the platform, from exemplifying ethical behavior to selflessly devoting time to make NSA the premier organization it is, these members and non-members stand out as extraordinary and deserve a big standing ovation!
